6 Ways to Make People Like You

Wow what a wonderfully awesome day. Im writing this blog post to you from Maui Hawaii, pretty cool that we can do our business anywhere in the world.  Lets get right down to the goodies because I got some surfing and snorkeling to do lol.

1. Become genuinly interested in the other person

-If you want other to like you, if you want to develop real friendships, if you want to help others at the same time as you help yourself, keep this principle in mind.  Regardless of how big you are, how important you are, or how much you know, we can always learn something from someone else.  God made each of us unique and their is something special and interesting in all of us.
2. Smile

Would you rather  be around someone happy and smiling or sad and bland expressionless?
3. Use a person’s name frequently

– The most beautiful sounds to someones ear is their own name. Farfetched? When you hear your name even if someone isn’t talking to you, you respond you turn around and look around trying to see who is saying your name. Well some times someone says pizza, and that is just an awesome sounds cause I have the biggest crush on just about any type of pizza, but you get the idea lol.
4. Be a good listener and encourage others to talk about themselves.
– As human beings it is natural that everyone’s favorite subject or easiest subject to converse about is themselves. Just today I was talking to a record producer on the beach, and I kept asking him questions about his business and how he got into, and we talked for about 30 minutes; he talked the entire time. At the end of the conversation he said, ” you know that was one of the best conversations I had in a very long time, I really enjoyed talking with you, wish we could talk more but my wife is calling.” boom baby!
5. Talk in terms of the other person’s interests.

-Help people get what they want and eventually it will come back to you.  That is not the reason for doing this though.
6. Make the other person feel important-
and do it sincerely.

-People have a need to feel important, loved, and valuable.  Talk to people about themselves and they will listen for hours.  A lot of people have never or very little have experienced this.  But don’t patronize someone and be real.  What benefit do you have to have an insincere relationship with someone?

These principles come from the book, “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carneigie.  This is a rock-solid book and has carried countless people up the ladder of success in their business and personal lives.  Most importantly with all of these principles is to really be sincere, be honest, and do so without an ulterior motive.  YES this is important to a network marketing business, but you will not develop real relationships with others if your motive is to sign them up into the latest greatest make money from home opportunity lol.  Apply these principles and you can see the change in your life today guaranteed!
