The most important thing you can do in your network marketing business is to improve yourself and your skills. I am constantly looking to get better. I feel the number 1 skill you can develop is your ability to effectively communicate with people. When you know how to prospect and close is when you can truly help others and begin your recruiting storm. Understand that the more you do this, the better you will get. Like everything else in the world it takes time to get good at something. Today I’ll give you 2 scripts you can use to talk to your craigslist leads. Handling objections and questions is another future post.

Craigslist Script #2
You need to be listening and taking notes on paper or in your google voice account. Be confident on the phone. You are the one that holds the power here becuase you have multimillion dollar business, you have the access and your not willing to share it with just anyone. Become a badass on the phone.
Ron: Hey______, this is Ron Gelok calling you back from the craigslist ad your responded to about (working from home, gold and silver, whatever your ad says)
Ron: I’m glad you called, before we get to the position here I would like to learn a little about you first to see if your someone I would want to work with.
Ron: Can you tell me a little about yourself? (take notes here, things that you have in common mention to your prospect and connect with them, maybe you are both real estate agents, who knows)
Ron: Why are you looking to make extra money? or Why do you want to work from home? ( this is the most important question to ask because you will want to use their “why” to help close them when you follow up, if you get a general response i usually say, “what do you mean” or can you elaborate on that?
Ron: What level of income are you looking to make on a monthly basis?
Ron: How serious are you about that? Tell me why. (shut up and listen, take notes)
Ron: Ok john doe, you sound like someone I could possibly work with, what I’m doing may or may not be for you. I think the best thing for us to do is get you some information. Now I have received hundreds of calls about this and I only have room to work with 10 people, I have short video that you need to watch to see if you qualify. I plan on taking this video down shortly, how soon can you watch it?
John Doe: I can watch it now, i cant watch at 3:00pm. ( If they say something like next week or 2 weeks from now, kindly excuse yourself from the call by saying, “john im looking for people who are little more serious are you sure you can’t watch this today?” if no, ” thanks for your time bye bye.”
Ron: Ok great john, now I’m very busy and value my time, I’ll be calling you at 3: 30 to talk about working with us. Keep in mind that this may or may not be for you. Talk to you then…
Note: If you get, “what is this all about?” i usually respond, “this about you making money from home. I need you to answer a few questions first becuase with all due respect I don’t work with just anyone and I don’t know who you are yet. You can appreciate that right?”
The number 1 thing that allowed me to get good at prospecting and recruiting is learning from Todd Falcone. Todd is an industry giant and is one of the few trainers that is in the trenches with us prospecting and recruiting daily. His Little Black Book of scripts is where I learned from that has cut years off my learning curve. Besides Ray Higdon this is the only person I follow for prospecting and recruiting in Network Marketing, he is simply the best, period. If you notice im not a big product launch guy or promote every affiliate product in the sky, I only share what I use and what I believe will help my personal team. If your wondering if you need to improve this skill ask yourself this, ” am I recruiting as fast as I would like? have you ever felt that a conversation could have gone differently if you just knew the right things to say? Why didn’t that person sign up with me, they sounded so promising? Trust me I know that feeling. If you are feeling this way, its a good sign that its time to improve your communication skills.
