How NOT to Market on Facebook

How NOT to Market on Facebook

If your going to market on Facebook with network marketing your going to have to be …a little special.  Everyday I talk to people on Facebook to make new friends.  Seems like every time a log on I get message in my chat, inbox, tagged in a random video from someone I don’t know that I’m not in, posts on my wall, spam in my group, ect ect its all garbage.  They are selling their opportunity while your trying to promote your opportunity,”how dare they!” Getting upset cause everyone is promoting their business to you?  Your doing the same thing silly!

You are going to be different.  Take your money goggles off! Every person you meet is not a hunk or prospect meet to chow down on.  They are people to! Get to know them first, you may not even want to work with them in your business!  You are not going to be an annoying best or a spammer!  Your going to be secret agent Facebook friend making recruiting machine. got it? ok good lets proceed

Here is what works…

I know you have heard this a million times already but its cause its true. MAKE FRIENDS!!! Facebook is a social network right!? So socialize. Do you know what Facebook is to network marketers!?  Its a warm market production center.  You meet new people get them to like and just become their friends!

Step 1. Add new friends

Step 2. Talk to your new friends and build trust and rapport. HOW? Talk to them about themselves silly

Step 3. Invite/Share your business IF it fits the conversation

But Ron… “I don’t know what to say and how do I transition into my business.”

The transition will come naturally.  You can ask questions like what do you do for a living and they may ask you what you do and then in 1 sentence you tell them.  You can say, ” how has the economy effected you and your family, or your business.”  If they are complaining about their job, they don’t have enough money, need more time, need some space or freedom, just trying to get my head above the water.  These people deserve to live better.  If you have a good business opportunity and you truly think it will better their lives share it with them!  This is a relationship business and you should want to help people, and if you don’t then get the hell out and go push a pencil.

  • Post interesting status updates, heres one of mine: ” just got involved in a new gold and silver business, pretty cool!”  “Oh man, it happened again!” people will say oh what happened, wait whats wrong? you say ” XYZ company just sent me another weekly check.” (obviously don’t post that if you didn’t get a check.)

Here is what NOT to do…

  • Send me o8238647936 messages about yournight.com and your business opportunity.  I don’t even know you, why would I listen.
  • Tag me in video I’m not in..(exception is welcome new friend video, and permission) some people don’t mind but most do.  This is like me coming over to your house and posting up a giant banner about a business with big red tape across the front of your house! not cool.
  • I ask what you do. you send me this super long paragraph about your prelaunch and I how I must join NOW, CAUSE THEIRS ONLYE 3187 PEOPLE AND WE GOT THIS JUICE MADE FROM THE Himalayan Mountain tops brewed one footed gnomes who pick berries riding eagles and the juice makes lose 47 pounds, cures cancer, grow finger nails, and turn babies into the hulk and if just join now you ll never have to talk to anyone you’ll just make millions of dollars tomorrow blah blah blah….BOLOGNA!!!
  • I ask what you do and you just send me a link. that comes off as cold and not personal, what kinda relationship is that?
  • Send me a chat with the first thing u say is,”can you do me a favor and check out my site blah blah.” you may be really cool cat but I dont know you and im not going to be so inclined to help you out.  As human beings its a sad fast that we are selfish in nature.

So lets keep it simple folks. Add friends, befriend them, and if the conversation swings to the way of changing lives and/or business share/invite to see your business.  Don’t be attached if they are interested or not.  They may not be and who cares, N-E-X-T!

Thanks Ron, this is good advice! Often it seems the less I talk about the opportunity, the more people want to know.
