How To Talk To Your Referral Leads

Welcome to another beautiful day in an industry that I believe is that true free enterprise.  In this post I plan onhow to talk to leads giving you a script on how to talk to your free referral leads.  If your not sure what I’m talking about check out part 1 on the truth about generating free leads.  What I love about the referral system is its proof that network marketing works and the people that gave you the referral just participated without even knowing it.  Ask and you shall receive.

So what do you say when you call the referral?

First of all you must remember where the referral came from.  If Brian gave you a referral then you better remember his name.  Now that seems obvious but believe it or not I have been the one to make that mistake before.  Here is what I say:

Referral Script

Ron: Hey ______, hows it going today its Ron Gelok! (enthusiactic)
Prospect:Oh…hey…Ron im doing good how are you? (they are trying to figure out where they know you from)
Ron:Hey I’m (Referral Name) friend and he gave me your number. Look I don’t have a lot of time right now, but I’m calling you because I’m an entrepreneur in the area and I’m expanding my business. (Referral Name) gave me your number because I asked him for to tell me a few of the sharpest people he knows and you were at the top of the list. I wanted to ask you, do you keep your options open when it comes to making money outside your focus?
You’ll get 3 kinds of answers.
Prospect:
Yes or no or depends whats it about(about 7 out of 10 times they say yes, those are just my numbers ok. I dont know if thats good or bad.)
Ron:Its an incredible business, I dont have that much time to go into right now it but if you give me your email address I’ll send you a short video about it. But keep in mind it may or may not be for you.
Ron: How soon can you watch it?

Now that last question is very key! You ask this question because its how you get your follow up time. IF they tell you tomorrow at 2 you tell em you’ll call them back tomorrow at 2:30 to answer any questions. This is a pretty simple script and if you say it with confidence your irresistable. Think of this style as offline attraction marketing.
