I’m not Daegan Smith, Katie Freiling or Mike Dillard – Why Would People Listen To Me?

I’m not Daegan Smith, Katie Freiling or Mike Dillard – why would people listen to me? Why should anyone listen to you…maybe they shouldn’t? This is something I personally struggled with when I first got into network marketing. I was scared that people wouldn’t listen. This blog post discusses why we sometimes feel this way and how to conquer your fear and have anyone listen to you.

First lets understand who you are or who you are becoming.  You got into network marketing to change your life, you wanted more than mediocrity for you and your family.  Do you realize what you just did?  Hello out there, you have just unlocked the flood gates to create a massive growth in your life.  You are now a business owner, you NEED to be proud of your new business even if you don’t understand everything yet.  You now have the power to create freedom in your life and be the business of the 21st century.

No one is going to listen

Where most of us start is with people you know.  When you talk to them they about a movie, vacation, work, school, or whatever they listen to you and vice a versa.  So why  do you think no one will listen to you now that you started a business?  Does that make any sense?  You just started a business and there is some question in yourself if you can do it or not.  If you believe that they won’t listen to you then they won’t.

How Do You Make People Listen?

Don’t make anyone listen.  You should never be explaining your business.  That is why you have webinars, websites, offline meetings, marketing pieces and so on.  Be confident that you have the best business for you and your family and others will see that in you!  You are doing something powerful to change your life, people can either join you and have the same things or watch you achieve massive success.   If you believe you can turn this into a 6 or 7 figure business you will, it comes down to your belief.

To have people actually listen you need to speak in a non threatening manner.  Have the attitude that you really don’t care if someone is into your business or not.  People will see that in you and thats attractive.  The typical network marketer chases, begs, and bugs and by being not addicted to them joining that is pretty powerful and different.

Here is what I say for my primary biz that works like a freakin machine…

Hey _____ I just got involved in a new gold and silver business.  I think its great timing and I’m going to work it hard and create a serious income.  How interested are you in that?

you will get yes im interested, tell me more or no thats not for me

if yes, I don’t know everything about it yet I just got involved.  I would like your opinion on it though, im going to send you a video to watch that explains it. whats ur email

You can change this a little to fit your business.

People listen when you have confidence in conviction.  To gain this confidence and conviction invest in yourself to grow personally.  For some people they need to know the ins and outs of the company (you don’t need to or want to, safe that space in your brain for something fun lol) to feel confident, so if thats you do that.  Do what you need to be more confident.  One way that I grew my confidence was by doing video marketing.  Its like public speaking but to yourself.  Watch some of my first videos and then compare them to my recent ones and this will make sense.

HA HA HA! @ the picture of the little kid in your post. Hilarious. But, it representative of how a lot of people feel when they compare themselves to the gurus. Ron, you are right! Confidence is key. Don’t be an explainer…be an inviter. And on top of that, just be YOU! Katie, Mike and Daegan are fantastic, but we already have them in our industry. What we don’t have is another YOU! 🙂
