Seems like sometimes the most painful thing in t"how to handle mlm rejection"he world is being rejected.  We all know this because hopefully you’ve been in a relationship and been dumped at least once.  If you haven’t than I want to know your secret cause I’m single LOL.  It doesn’t feel the best but it goes away.  Its possible that maybe you haven’t even heard the deadly word “NO” yet but that still petrifies you and keeps you from asking anyway to see what you new business is.  Very understandable but not cool, in all honestly it is kinda selfish.

Ron, why is me being scared selfish?

Did you know that there are people right now in your cell phone contact list that are dying, crying out, starving for some kind of opportunity to pull themselves up out of the mire.  There are people you know that hate what they do, have poor relationships, have so much talent and are in the wrong place, that are just wishing and praying for someone of something to come into their life and help them.  Right now! You have that power to help them!  You may be involved in the best home based business like mine that is there ticket out and your keeping that to yourself!? Not cool dude.  How do you think your people will feel when you are making $10,000 + plus a month and you didn’t tell them about it?

“well maybe I want to make sure that this will work out for me first before I tell them about it so I know it will work out for my friends to.” 

Ok ok, I get that and that’s cool that you really care about your people, I Love that!  But how they heck are you going to get there unless you open your mouth?  If you are not willing to share your opportunity with those closest to you because you are concerned or have this fear then what the F are you doing?  How are you supposed to make money with this and help people if you don’t fully believe in yourself and your opportunity.  It’s like driving with your foot on the brake!!!  If you saw a great movie, had an awesome dinner, or went on an amazing vacation you would confidently share this with people you know, right?  So why the heck is it different here?  Don’t you think that that ability to create financial independence is much more valuable than how good dinner was at the Pineapple Grill on Friday night LOL!?  You owe to everyone you know to offer them something great, and if they don’t want it then that’s fine no worries you know.  The majority of people you talk to will say no, its not for me, no thank you.  That’s fine this is identical to everyone  and everything else in life.  It’s just a little weird at first because most people or you haven’t done this business before, been in business for themselves, or have ever tried to recruit someone into something.

Phone weighs like 3,000 pounds?

Well that’s ok because sometimes your prospect doesn’t call you back or doesn’t answer the phone when you call, (phone is like 8,000 pounds for them).   Ever heard that saying about bugs, “they are more scared of you then you are of them?”  Well this can be true with you prospects as well.  The reality is that most people have not been taught how to properly recruit, follow up, close, postures yourself, and most importantly when to say good bye next.  Some people also just are not interested even though they said they were and some people haven’t watched your presentation and they don’t want to be embarrassed by telling you this.  People are expecting mr. super salesman on the phone to hard close them into the business, which is not what we do.  I want to work with people that are excited, confident, and committed to making this business work.  So if someone says it’s not for them, no worries next, keep hunting for superstars and they will emerge.  You see people are not turned off by network marketing because it is the number 1 best way to make money without risk and without having millions of dollars in the bank to play around with.  What turns people off is network marketers.  It’s simply because they haven’t been trained properly or the excitement and addiction to the outcome overwhelms them and that can be frightening to people who have no idea what you have seen.  Todd Falcone is an industry legend and giant that personally helped train me with his Little Black Book of Scripts.  Knowing what to say and how to say gave me the confidence I needed to succeed. 

Ok Ron, I got you, I’m a serious networker, I’ll go learn that and then talk to people.

Don’t you dare!!!

You know one of the most important lessons I learned from a great author on Leadership, John C. Maxwell, is to fail forward.  Discipline and consistency will trump talent any day of the week.  There are lots of talented amazing people that don’t do shit to make this work, sad I know.  You will not run out of prospects either.  If you are following me then you know tons of ways that almost everyone on my team is generating 10+ leads a day offline or online using simple systems.  Remember you can’t say the wrong thing to the right person.  I have totally written people off before and told them my business wasn’t for them and they end up joining!  Keep using the simple scripts and prospecting tips in previous posts I have given you while increasing your skills and ability with trainings and programs like Todd’s Black Book of Scripts, unless your recruiting 10+ people a week I wouldn’t worry about it.

Ron, I’m Still scared what I do?

Were you scared the first time you rode a bike?  Maybe the first time you asked a girl out or drove a car or pretty much anything you tried that was new, you were scared at first, right?  I just went hang gliding for the first time and I can not tell you how nervous I was before I did it.  Once I had gotten up in the air though it wasn’t bad at all and I actually had really fun! I can’t wait till the next time I’m on the phone with someone…I mean hang gliding up in the sky.  Every time I have ever stepped out of my comfort zone it was very scary for me but incredibly rewarding.  I often said to myself, “huh, that wasn’t so bad.”  Isn’t it true that the more you do something the better you get at it…whats that word again practice.  So unless you are Allen Iverson and just talking practice, practice, I mean are you talking about practice?  Then your better start practicing and getting better so you can indeed make this work.

Realize that you deserve to make your home based business work.  Understand that there is greatness inside of every one of you.  There are people on this earth that need to hear your story, that are craving and waiting for someone to help them.  You and only you have that power and you need to unleash it.  Let’s make it happen today, take some action and reach out and I will help you get there.
