Spiritual Armor

The Believers Spiritual Armory

1. The Word Of God
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Satan is a deceiver is this is why we must know the word of God

2 Corinthians 2:11 in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.

When Jesus was tempted during his 40 days, each time the devil tempted him he was able to respond with what the scripture says

2. The Name of Jesus
What  God says about the name of jesus,
Philipians 2:9-11 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

Acts 16:18 She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so annoyed that he turned around and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!” At that moment the spirit left her.

3. Christ In You

1 John 4:4 Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Colossians 1:27  To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

John 1:12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God

1 Corinthians 6:17 But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.

4. The Blood of Jesus

reminder against condemnation and guilt
Matthew 26:28 – For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sin
Blood symbolizes protection
Exodus 12:13 – And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye [are]: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy [you], when I smite the land of Egypt.
1 John 1:5-7The Message (MSG) This, in essence, is the message we heard from Christ and are passing on to you: God is light, pure light; there’s not a trace of darkness in him.
6-7 If we claim that we experience a shared life with him and continue to stumble around in the dark, we’re obviously lying through our teeth—we’re not living what we claim. But if we walk in the light, God himself being the light, we also experience a shared life with one another, as the sacrificed blood of Jesus, God’s Son, purges all our sin.
5. The Power of The Holy Spirit
Romans 15:19 by the power of signs and wonders, through the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.

6 The Gifts of the Spirit

Discerning of Spirits – You can feel it!

1 Corinthians 12:7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues,a and to still another the interpretation of tongues.b11All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.

7. The Whole Armor Of God

Ephesians 6: 10- 18 10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

What do you do everyday in regards to the armor of God?
Romans 13: 11-14 11-14 But make sure that you don’t get so absorbed and exhausted in taking care of all your day-by-day obligations that you lose track of the time and doze off, oblivious to God. The night is about over, dawn is about to break. Be up and awake to what God is doing! God is putting the finishing touches on the salvation work he began when we first believed. We can’t afford to waste a minute, must not squander these precious daylight hours in frivolity and indulgence, in sleeping around and dissipation, in bickering and grabbing everything in sight. Get out of bed and get dressed! Don’t loiter and linger, waiting until the very last minute. Dress yourselves in Christ, and be up and about!

What does all of this mean!?

Jesus chris is the same today, yesterday, and forever.  His word says he is also no respector of persons meaning he doesn’t love you more than me or vice versa.

In Mathew 10, Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.

You Have authority through Christ jesus

Would You Like To Know Jesus?
Romans 10: 6-13
But the righteousness [a]based on faith speaks as follows: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down), or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).” But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, 9 [b]that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, [c]resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, [d]resulting in salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be [e]disappointed.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; 13 for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Say this prayer, “Dear Jesus, I need You in my life. I acknowledge that I have sinned and I come to You right now confessing that and asking your forgiveness. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I believe You are the Son of God and that You rose from the dead and are alive today. I open the door of my heart and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Please take control of my life from here forward and make me the kind of person you want me to be. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
